Like many bootcamp grads, my path to design has been unconventional. In my case, I left a successful corporate career at Scotiabank and moved to Bondi Beach, Australia, trusting I would find a more fulfilling path. Fortunately, life led me to design.
I have been freelancing now for a couple years with a couple notable client projects; brand new websites for TCR Machining (a local CNC machine shop) and Dr. Kaitlyn Furman (a Toronto chiropractor). TCR Machining was a particularly big self‑learning project as I designed, built, and shipped for them a fully responsive website using Webflow, a platform requiring understanding of HTML and CSS.
I have a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Queen's University. I completed General Assembly's bootcamp in User Experience and Product Design. Additionally, I hold a Master of Accountancy (taxation stream) from Brock University. Taking my prior education and experience together, I am a UX designer with a business mindset.
